Still painting...

Well, the big project is still under way.  There are so many walls covered in paneling and it is beginning to drive me crazy.  I have to clean the walls, then apply a coat of Kilz (stain killing primer) and then 2 coats of white paint.  If I don't finish this soon I'll have a permanent indent of a paint brush in the palm of my hand, lol.

But we are absolutely thrilled with the change this makes in the house.  The paneling made the room seem so drab and dingy.  I always referred to the living room as a cave, even though it is about 18x24 feet, it seemed so small and dark.  Just blah, ya know?  I can't wait to get done and take some pictures.

Well, on with business as usual, lol  I had this recipe saved to put on here, but I can't remember whether I already posted it or not.  If I did, I apologize.

A cleaning tip, or two, that you may find useful.  As I say on my Web page, these are tips that have been emailed to me, or that I have found on the Internet.  I have not tried all of them and do NOT guarantee their effectiveness.  If you do try one and it works, or if you have another one that works for you, please let me know.

Mildew Stains (on clothing): Shake or brush the item to remove loose growth. Presoak in cold water. Wash in hot water with heavy duty detergent. For whites, add 1/2 cup bleach. If colored, use color-safe bleach. If staining remains on white items, repeat washing before drying. Dry thoroughly; heat and sun tend to kill
