Old Photographs Project

Good Morning!  I hope everyone is doing well so far this week.  I kept myself pretty busy yesterday with my photo project.  I probably scanned, named and filed about one hundred, or more, pictures yesterday.  I've found some real treasures.  A few of the photos are so neat...however, I am unsure of who is in them.  LOL

I found a great photograph of my Aunt Miriam when she was a baby.  She is 20 years older than my mother...so I am going to guess it was taken around  1923.  It is so neat looking and it is actually a postcard.  What a great way to share your children with family that don't live nearby.  Although I would be afraid it would get bent or torn and my child would arrive looking a bit like Frankenstein.  LOL

Anyway, I wanted to share a few pictures of my Mom and Dad with ya'll.

*Oops, I meant where he was trained.  I know he was a paratrooper in Korea.

Obviously I am going to have to work on that photo and try to repair the scratches and bends.

This is my mother and her sisters, let's see if I get them correct...in the back, Margaret and Alice (left to right).  In the front (left to right) Miriam, Judy (my mom) and Rosemary.  No...I think I have Miriam and Alice mixed up.  It's hard to tell, the one in the back looks more like Miriam, but she is small like Aunt Alice.  Yeah, the more I think about it and look at the picture...I think Miriam is in the back right and Alice is on the left front.

MOM!  Who's who?  LOL  Actually, once I get these all scanned I'm going to need to have her come up and look at the photos and tell me who some of the people are.  As I said, this is going to be quite a project.  But so well worth it, I think.  But then I love old photo's and the history that comes with them.

Have a great day & hugs to all my friends!

How fun is that!!  I just love old photographs.  I have a bunch of photos that my Dad took back in the 20's.  He wrote names on the backs of some of them but some of them I don't have a clue who they are.  Mom once said the women were all his old girlfriends!!  LOL.  Hmm, may have been!!  tee hee!  Have fun!  Linda
