A cleaning tip, or two, that you may find useful. As I say on my Web page, these are tips that have been emailed to me, or that I have found on the Internet. I have not tried all of them and do NOT guarantee their effectiveness. If you do try one and it works, or if you have another one that works for you, please let me know.
Lint: Keep lint off dark clothes by not washing them with towels, washcloths, dishrags, etc. This is where a majority of the lint comes from and it's just easier to eliminate them. Another way to get lint to stay off clothes in the washer is to add 1 cup distilled white vinegar to the load with the detergent.
My sister-in-law & link to sanity, Cathy, is back home. She left on Friday to go with her daughter and grandson down to Kentucky for a family reunion. Actually the trip was more about going to check on her mother. Cathy has been hearing some things from family members that has had her concerned about her mothers health.
Unfortunately when she got there she found that her mothers weight is down and in general her health seems to be on the downward slide. Her mother walked Cathy and her brothers around the house showing them where she had put slips of paper with the kids names on items, letting them know who was to get what. My heart is breaking for Cathy. My prayers are with her, her mother and their whole family.
I've listened to Cathy talk about her family many times. Her father was a preacher and died about 29 (I think) years ago. They were so close, I can still hear the love and adoration she has for him whenever she talks about the "old days". Family means so much to Cathy, I can't even begin to imagine what it will do to her it anything happens to her mother.
So if you pray, and you have a spare moment, could you please send an extra prayer up for Cathy and her mother? I'd greatly appreciate it. Thanks.
Well, have a beautiful day and thanks for stopping by.
