Candles & Help me win $100 gift certificate

A cleaning tip, or two, that you may find useful.  As I say on my Web page
, these are tips that have been emailed to me, or that I have found on the Internet.  I have not tried all of them and do NOT guarantee their effectiveness.  If you do try one and it works, or if you have another one that works for you, please let me know.
Candle Holders: To prevent the wax from melting and sticking to the inside of a votive candle holder, pour a bit of water in the holder, then place the candle on top. If you forgot the water and there's wax stuck to your candle holder, popit in the freezer for an hour. The wax will chip right off.

Candle Wax: To remove wax from carpeting or other fabric, first scrape away any excess. Then, place a brown paper bag over the wax and run a warm iron over the bag. The wax will melt right into the bag! Continue moving the bag around as you pick up the wax so you are always using a clean section. If a little grease stain remains on carpet, sprinkle with baking soda and allow to sit overnight before vacuuming, which will remove the grease residue. If colored wax leaves a stain on carpet, blot with spot remover or carpet cleaner, following label directions.

My mom always kept birthday cake candles, and others, in the freezer.  It is suppose to make them burn slower.

I have a chance to win a $100 gift certificate if ya'll go and register at Spark People using this link Start Spreading the Spark Today.  Spark People is a place similar to ediets, except it is FREE.  They give you suggestions and tips, along with free recipes and message boards.  Spark People is the site that always sends me those neat little "Healthy Reflections" that I share with ya'll.

Of course, you don't have to participate.  You could always go sign up, using the link, Start Spreading the Spark Today, so I get credit, and then just opt out if you want to.  However, for me to get credit for you going, 1) you have to use the link and 2) you have to sign up.  Of course, I know how everyone hates to get a bunch of e-mail in their box every morning, so after you sign up if you don't like getting all that stuff, you can just remove your name.

Thank you very, very much if you do use the link and go sign up.  I appreciate it very much, and if I were to win...I would think of ya'll as I use the gift certificate.

Have a great day.

Putting your burners in the freezer does work. Even Yankee Candle tells you to do that when you buy thier burners.
